About

Influenced by Nature

The podcast

Influenced by Nature is a bi-weekly podcast which aims to highlight some of the amazing work, initiatives and projects that takes place around the world, which help to preserve and protect nature and climate, raise awareness and bring solutions for a greener tomorrow. Through exploring these solutions with a vast array of interesting guests we keep you up to date on the challenges our modern world faces with regards to climate, biodiversity, the environment and sustainability.

So listen up, join in and let us be Influenced by Nature together.

Why it started

"Climate changes? Why should I care when they do not seem to affect me?" Those were the words of a close relation of mine and I would not be surprised if many people feel the same way. That is understandable.

Many people probably do not see the effects of the way we treat this planet in our daily lifes. We can buy what we want, eat what we want and go wherever we want. So why care at all?

That is exactly where this project starts - trying to answer why we should care. Why we should care about climate changes, why we should care about our environment, why we should care about all the nature we are surrounded by and dependent on and why it is important to cherish and conserve the biodiversity and ecosystems that are so important for making this planet a healthy and exciting place to live. Because even if we do not immediately think so, everything around us is connected. So let's take care of each other by taking care of the world we live in.

Influenced by nature therefore aims to collaborate with individuals, organisations and companies to highlight the vast array of important environmental topics in todays world.

”A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
